Justin Nuyda’s Mindscape Series are formed from memories of sentiments with nature and experience. For Nuyda recalls them as thought sanctuaries, “becoming one with nature briefly brought me into a new world - that of a familiar, enchantingly desolated, yet ephemeral landscape.” His work itself is a metaphor of an elegant golden butterfly, creating gentle waves and exquisite movement as it glides in beautiful harmony with the amber and ochres of the terrain.

Justin Nuyda, born 1944, is an abstract painter. He is often referred to as one of the pillars of Philippine Modern Art. He boasts a celebrated career that spans over five decades of prolific development, and better known for his Mindscape Series.
